We are excited to be able to give each of our area high schools $1000 and each of our area middle schools $500 to spend to help student-athletes with expenses! This money will go to buy shoes, equipment, camps, etc that families otherwise wouldn't be able to afford! Thank you to all those who support 508...you are supporting your area athletes!

We are truly humbled by all of the support that has been given to The 508 Foundation already. We've been able to send kids in Surry and Alleghany counties to summer camps, purchase cleats, shirts, socks, etc. for others...we cannot thank you enough!
As we continue to help athletes soar, please SAVE THE DATE for The 508 Foundation golf tournament on October 20th! Details will be coming soon...
Again, we are so grateful for your support...this would not be possible without each of YOU!

Making a Difference
Dan Wilmoth presents Coach Tommy McKnight with a donation from The 508 Foundation that will go towards the Alleghany Men's Basketball Team.
The son of Barry and Anne Wilmoth, Dave was a 2010 graduate of Surry Central High School where he excelled in both football and basketball. He graduated from Basic Law Enforcement Training at Surry Community College in June 2014 and began his law enforcement career with the Surry County Sheriff's Office as a patrol deputy. He served in that capacity until July 18, 2015. On Aug. 1, 2015, he joined the Dobson Police Department as a patrol officer. Dave most valued his faith, friends, and family. He was committed to public service and was using that passion to serve his community. His greatest love was coaching football at Surry Central, which he hoped to continue at some point in the future. Dave also enjoyed hunting, being active, attending church, and hanging out with his friends.
